Marina Caron is an independent curator, writer, and arts administrator based in Brooklyn, NY. She regularly collaborates with LC Queisser Gallery in Tbilisi, Georgia. She was a founding member of the C&O curatorial group, which organized exhibitions in Berlin and Cologne from 2015-2018. For the past two years, she has managed artist Yto Barrada’s studio, working with her on her recent exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, Mathaf, Doha, and Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, New York, among others. Before that, she was the registrar at Tanya Leighton Gallery, Berlin. Marina is a current Masters’s candidate in the Curatorial Studies program at CCS Bard. She holds a B.F.A. from Cooper Union.

During her residency, Marina will be researching how political desire in Tbilisi has shaped arts initiatives and artists’ practices. She is also interested in the role of native ecology in historic and contemporary artworks in the region.
