Tezi Gabunia is Tbilisi-based visual artist who mainly focuses on the research of cultural issues and manipulation with various media of visual art. His works include installations, videos and paintings. In 2008 he gained a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Georgian Technical University and Since 2011 Gabunia joined Fine Art. In 2016 Gabunia was awarded Tsinandali Prize in Visual Arts (Georgia). Tezi Gabuia is a co-founder and key member of “CopyPaste’” (2015) the Georgian platform of artists and architects. His works are exhibited both locally and internationally in partnership with different galleries and art fairs as 4710 Gallery (Tbilisi, Georgia, 2021), 68projects (Berlin, Germany, 2019), Group Exhibition curated by “Propaganda Network” (Tbilisi, Georgia, 2019), (TAB) Group Exhibition at Gldani District (Tbilisi, Georgia, 2018) MOCAK Museum of Contemporary Art (Krakow, Poland, 2017), Kornfeld Galerie (New York, 2020), Kornfeld Galerie on Video Art Fair (Barcelona, Spain, 2020), Vienna Contemporary Art Fair (Vienna, Austria, 2020).
Tezi will spend the next months at Collective Studios/D block, joining the group of young creatives and working for his upcoming exhibitions.
