CROSSLUCID – Tbilisi Residencies/Stamba
CROSSLUCID is an interdisciplinary collective and the synthesis of Sylwana Zybura and Tomas C. Toth. Its current practice spans video, photography, collage, installation, character design and creative direction. CROSSLUCID accelerates the intersection between realities with their combinations of multifaceted visual systems and performative practices.Their current points of interest are the technologies shaping human sexuality, their emancipatory promises and tendencies to reinforce bias, digital intimacy and virtual fantasies. These subjects and the interest to investigate local perspectives and collaborate with local talents were the motivators of their visit to Tbilisi. Invited by Propaganda, Tbilisi Residencies/Stamba is hosting a duo from March 14th to the first week of May. Intensive research and inter-sectional work with Georgian artists, gender experts, rights activists, dancers and designers will summarize as an exhibition at ArtArea Gallery. The multimedia project entitled “First Date” will open on the 25th of April.
